SMTT is currently on a membership drive targeting Great Southern Plantations 2005 & 2006 Scheme members with woodlots allocated on the Tiwi Islands. Lowell Capital Limited proposal approved by Sylvatech Growers
Grower meetings of both the Sylvatech Tropical Timbers 2003 and 2004 Schemes held on Thursday May 12 approved the proposals put forward by Lowell Capital Limited.
Growers at both meetings approved all five resolutions which were put to the meetings effectively removing Great Southern Managers Australia Limited as Responsible Entity for the Schemes.
Lowell Capital Limited appointed as Responsible Entity
Growers at the meetings voted to appoint Lowell Capital as the new Responsible Entity for both the Sylvatech Tropical Timbers 2003 and 2004 Schemes.
Lowell Capital has now been entered on the ASIC register as the responsible entity for the Sylvatech Tropical Timbers 2003 and 2004 Schemes.
Members of the Sylvatech schemes will receive further correspondence from Lowell Capital in the near future.
Lowell Capital Offer to be extended to all the GSMAL Schemes Tiwi Growers
SMTT continues to work on plans to unite Tiwi growers from all schemes into a single “umbrella” scheme, which will allow Lowell Capital to regain control of and manage to harvest the plantations of all Tiwi growers.
Representatives of SMTT, Lowell and Gunns Plantations met recently to discuss plans to achieve this aim for the members of Gunns Plantations 2005 and 2006 Pulpwood Schemes.
